My goal in my classroom is to ensure all my students feel safe, welcome, wanted, and successful. I strive to build a classroom environment that will help those things to happen. I do also have some classroom expectations.
Homework: I will not be sending any formal homework home. The best help you can give your child is to have them read at least 20 minutes at home. Please make sure they are reading out loud. Also, having them practice their math facts (like adding and subtracting, counting money, and telling time to the nearest 5 minutes) will help them. Behavior Expectations In our classroom we will focus on the positive decision making. Everybody will be responsible for the choices they make. If they make good decisions they will be rewarded, and if they choose to break the rules there will be consequences. Our classroom rules reflect the rules of the whole school: Top Cats R.O.A.R: Respect Ownership Accountable Resilience Helping Our Classroom Field trips and class parties are great times to help out in the classroom. If you would like to volunteer more in my classroom please talk with me and we will see what we can do. I'm always happy to take donations. Check out the flyer to the right for a complete list of things that can be donated to our classroom. |
